Community Guidelines

Po. is built on a simple idea: a handle is for speaking freely, not for hurting people. You choose how you show up here, and that freedom only works if everyone can use it safely. These guidelines define what is welcome on Po. and what gets removed.

They apply to everything on the service: threads, replies, photos, direct messages, profiles, and anonymous posts. They are part of our Terms of Service, so breaking them can cost you features or your account.

1. Be who you want, not someone else

Pseudonyms are welcome. Real names are welcome. Switching between them is welcome. What is not welcome is pretending to be a real person or organization in a way meant to deceive: fake official accounts, stolen identities, or handles designed to trick people into thinking you are someone you are not. Parody and fan accounts are fine as long as a reasonable person can tell that is what they are.

2. Anonymity is not a free pass

Po. lets you post anonymously. That feature exists so you can be honest, not so you can be cruel. Anonymous posts follow every rule on this page, are moderated like any other content, and are still connected to the account that wrote them. Using anonymity to harass, threaten, or deceive is treated as an aggravating factor, not an excuse.

3. No harassment or hate

Disagree, debate, criticize ideas as hard as you like. But do not target people. We remove content that harasses or bullies someone, threatens or incites violence, wishes harm on people, or attacks people for who they are: their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other part of their identity. Dogpiling and coordinated harassment count, even when each individual post looks mild.

4. Respect other people's privacy

Do not reveal someone's private information without their consent: home address, phone number, workplace, legal name behind a pseudonym, or anything else that could expose them (doxxing). Do not share intimate images of someone without their consent, and do not threaten to. On an app where many people rely on a chosen handle, unmasking someone is one of the most serious violations there is.

5. Zero tolerance for exploiting minors

Any sexual content involving minors leads to immediate account termination and, where the law requires, a report to the authorities. This includes real media, generated or drawn media, and any attempt to solicit, groom, or sexualize anyone under 18. There are no second chances here. Po. is for users aged 16 and over, as set out in our Terms of Service.

6. No sexual or gratuitously violent content

Po. is not the place for pornography or content that exists to shock: gore, celebration of violence, or media of serious real-world harm shared for its own sake. Discussing difficult subjects, including violence in news and personal experiences, is allowed; reveling in them is not.

7. Nothing illegal

Do not use Po. to do, sell, or organize anything illegal under Indonesian law or the law that applies to you: selling drugs or weapons, fraud and scams, phishing, trafficking, or coordinating criminal activity. Do not post content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark; rights holders can reach us as described in the Terms of Service.

8. Keep the feed real

Spam ruins feeds for everyone. Do not flood threads with repetitive content, run undisclosed bots, buy or sell engagement, artificially inflate likes and reposts, or spread links designed to deceive. Deliberate manipulation, including coordinated networks of fake accounts, gets the whole network removed.

9. No self-harm encouragement

Talking about your own struggles, including mental health and self-harm, is allowed and often brave. Encouraging, instructing, or goading someone toward self-harm or suicide is never allowed. If you see someone in crisis, report the post so we can respond, and encourage them to seek help.

10. Reporting

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it from the app: every post, message, and profile has a report option. Reports are anonymous to the person being reported. You can also write to support@poapp.social for anything the in-app tools do not cover, including urgent safety issues.

11. How we enforce these rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behavior toward other users. We review every report within 24 hours.

Beyond that, enforcement depends on severity and history. We may remove content, limit the reach of an account, restrict features such as anonymous posting, or suspend or permanently ban accounts, with or without prior notice. For the most serious violations, including exploiting minors, credible threats of violence, and doxxing, we go straight to a ban. We may also preserve and share information with authorities when the law validly requires it.

12. Changes to these guidelines

As Po. grows, these guidelines will evolve with it. The current version always lives at this page with its effective date at the top, and we will notify you in the app or on the website when changes are material.
